All of the explanations I have ever heard say that the story is about the fall of human beings from grace because of disobedience to God, and the punishment that God gave all of us because of original sin. Did I not understand the story right the first million times I heard it? Isn't it just about people being disobedient to God's commandments? I didn't read anything in the bible about poison knowledge of any of the things you see in the story. I am wondering who is missing the point of the story.
