A former warden of a maximum security federal penitentiary was once asked to identify the one thing that would do most to improve conditions inside the prison. He didn’t hesitate a moment before responding, “Send me a better class of prisoner.”
Want to raise the level of discourse in the current health care reform debate? We’re gonna need a better class of partisans than the tea party patriots shown in the video.
Remember, though, they’re patriots! That’s why they carry signs saying things like, “We Come Unarmed—This Time!” and say things like, “We’re not gonna stop until we take down this government.” Yes sir, they’re patriots. And, they’re smart.

Perhaps we should take all the crazies, on both the left and right and send them to a secluded island where they can duke it out.
I wish it was as easy as rounding them all up and shipping them out. I swear there seems to be more of them every day and they are getting more beligerant all the time.
Last weekend I was in Los Angeles and there was some kind of Tea Party thing going on about health care. The signs they were holding up that I saw while driving by said things like “Next Time We’re Bringing Our Guns”. I know it’s not right to judge people by what they look like, but sometimes looks do mean something. The thing I noticed was how many of them were wearing green and tan camo hats and t-shirts like militia groups wear. I think the militia nuts are a big part of these rallies and that should scare eveybody.
