I don’t care where you stand on health care reform, you’ve got to hand it to Mr. Kupelian and WorldNetDaily. This kind of progadandist genius hasn’t been seen since the days of Joe McCarthy and Nikita Kruschev. Unless I go to church this Sunday and hear the inspiring and patriotic tones of “Jet Cadets For Jesus” wafting from some Sunday School classroom I’m gonna call Mr. Kupelian and his Whistleblower Magazine the clear winners.
You might think this stuff is easy to write. It isn’t. What’s more, once you’ve written it, you’ve got to have the proverbial brass… well, you’ve got to put your name on it and circulate it in public. Not many people can do that without at least blushing and giving away the caper. I guess you could overcome the blushing if you really believed what you were writing—you know, if you were “smoking your own dope” as some used to say. I don’t think Mr. Kupelian smokes his own dope. He’s puffing on something else.
I’m thinking it must be fun to cook up stuff like this and peddle it for a living. Maybe even more fun than owning something really cool like the Oregon Vortex or Skinny Dick’s Halfway Inn. Every day’s got to be a hoot, counting the money and chuckling at the customers.
There is one downside, though—this kind of thing is difficult to perpetuate. There is always some newcomer itching for a fight, aiming to knock you off your perch and take over your little sideshow. He meets your “death panels” with “Brutal Nazi Slaughter Boards”… your “medical murder” with “Blood Crazed Bureaucrats Thirst For Gore.”
You’re getting older, and you can’t keep up with the young, smart challenger. People like him better, and your readership dwindles. Pretty soon you’re just an afterthought. After a few years languishing in obscurity you’re broke, down on your luck and nobody really gives a damn about your glory days.

You’re poor, uninsured and society thinks you’re just a pain in the ass. Your understaffed, under funded and generally sorry county hospital is the only place that will take you, and only because the law says it must let you in the door.
Sure, you’ll have it tough. You’ll likely die miserably, but there’s a bright side. Things will be grand for that newcomer who took your place. He’ll be eating your steak, dancing with your girl, and enjoying the kind of life that low, low taxes make possible.

You know, I’m not one to wish something bad on innocent people; it truly goes against my nature. However, I have to wonder what these idiots that write this crap would say or do if they were for whatever reason, denied insurance, couldn’t afford insurance or lost coverage and THEN had to face a catrostropic illness or suffer through a severe automobile accident or just grow old and have health issues that comes with old age. Me thinks they would be spinning a far different tale than the ones we see here. Again, not that I wish anything bad…….
Throwing mud is all liberals ever do while rightwing conservatives do all the work to actually take care of the deserving poor through our churches and personal charity giving to worthy causes. Liberals never help anybody they just raise taxes and take food out of the mouths of working families so that they can not do as much for those less fortunate. Liberals are hipocrytes.
I don’t think Christ ever used the phrase “deserving poor.” “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
